Our
Trainingcentre
Demonstrations & Clinics
in The Nederlands and abroad.

I'm John Jansen and
feel fortunate to be able to work with my dogs and sheep.
Out of this I get so much pleasure that it takes up all my spare time.
Also to help people whom have "problems" with their dog and
see how this could be resolved gives me much satisfaction.
I'm delighted to see, when people training with us, are improving their herding.
Good training and socializing after the training are important for me.
So al little chat after training is much appreciated.
Myself I'm competing in trials for some years now,
first with my dogs Chad & Toss (now retired), Lad, Gael and now with Bess.

Besides the Border Collie,
also other breeds (like the Hollandse Schapendoes) are welcome to train at our centre.
Xara (Beauceron) van Laila Ooms.

The various breeds who've trained with us are:
Hollandse
schapendoes, Kelpie, Australian Shepperd [ Aussie], Cattle Dog, Pyrenese
Berghond, Beauceron, Schotse Collie.

We are always open to train new breeds,
who want to work with sheep, provided the are under control.
My name is Carola Jansen.
I might not be giving training but I'm still spending a lot of time with it.
In my spare time I can always be found at the centre and assist were I can.
Also for me socializing comes first. After all, there nothing more enjoyable when the work is done than,
for instance to have a barbeque, provided the time is available.

Clinics given by John in various contries.

Spain:

Czech:
John goes "Czech".

John is interviewed for the well known Czech Dog magazine PSI Sporty.
Italy:

In 2000 John was asked by Sheepdog Laghetto
or he could be a trainer on a Herding Clinic they wanted to organize.
Due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease that year,
the clinic was posponed till September 2001.
A bit exhiting it was, not every Italien speaks english,
so John was a little worried about a language barrier.
Fortunately this did not lead to any problems,
and the well known "hand and foot" language was not required. :-)
Ofcourse John had taken his precautions by bringing three of his own dogs to assist,
cause working sheep without dogs is .........

A visit to the local blacksmith Luigi
Carla and Alberto of sheepdog Laghetto, thought they did not have enough sheep,
so they borrowed some from Luige the local blacksmith.
These sheep were not used to dogs, but major problems have not occured due to this.
For John the visit was extra special, since his profession is also blacksmith.
Here some photo's of our visit to Luigi.
Carla and Alberto also informed the local newspaper
that a Herding Clinic will be given by a trainer from the Netherlands.

On saturday morning things got rolling at 9 o'clock.
It was a sunny morning and not too warm to work.
John had chosen to work on a small field during the morning,
to get acquainted with the dogs and their handlers.
In the afternoon, when the dogs were ready for it, they could move to the larger field.
The handlers and dogs showed themselves from their best side and
it always good to see how they progress during a clinic.
Below some photo's of the clinic on saterday and sunday.
The clinic was ended on sunday with a small trial,
which was succesfully completed by each combination.
